In a major anti-narcotics operation, Assam Police arrested two individuals and seized 1.22 kg of heroin valued at Rs 6.22 crore in Cachar district’s Saptagram area under Dholai police station.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the breakthrough on X late Saturday, praising the Cachar Police for acting on credible intelligence.
The operation marks a significant blow to drug trafficking in the region. “Kudos to @assampolice,” Sarma said, highlighting the force’s commitment to curbing the narcotics trade.
