Madhya Pradesh Teacher Arrested for Assaulting Class 1 Student
Shocking incident sparks outrage in Tikamgarh district school.
A government school teacher in Madhya Pradesh’s Tikamgarh district has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl studying in Class 1. The disturbing incident occurred on Thursday morning when the minor reached school and was reportedly misbehaved with by the accused teacher. Distraught, the child confided in her family upon returning home, prompting immediate action from relatives and local villagers.
Angry family members and villagers rushed to the Palera police station, demanding swift justice. Police responded promptly by registering a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused teacher was arrested on the spot and remanded to judicial custody.
Tikamgarh Additional Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh confirmed the arrest, stating that the matter came to light under Palera police station limits. “A case was registered under the POCSO Act and relevant sections of BNS against the accused teacher. He was immediately arrested and sent to jail,” Singh told ANI. Authorities emphasized that the investigation is ongoing to gather all evidence and ensure thorough proceedings.
