Madhya Pradesh Police Seize ₹5 Crore Worth of Drugs in Largest Agar Malwa Bust
Police seize ketamine and chemicals worth ₹5 crore in Madhya Pradesh.
In a significant breakthrough, Madhya Pradesh police arrested two individuals and seized narcotics and chemicals worth over Rs 5 crore in Agar Malwa district, marking the largest drug seizure in the district’s history. The operation, conducted on Friday afternoon following a tip-off, targeted two vehicles parked on Agar-Barod Road, according to Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar Singh.
During the search, police apprehended Ishwar Malviya (33) and Daulat Singh Anjana (35), while a third suspect, Rahul Anjana, fled the scene. The confiscated items included 9.2 kg of ketamine valued at Rs 4.62 crore, 12.1 kg of ammonium chloride, 35 liters of isopropyl alcohol worth Rs 25 lakh, and 6 grams of mephedrone valued at Rs 7,800.
Additionally, authorities seized laboratory equipment, including a vacuum oven, magnetic stirrer, glassware, a gram panchayat seal, and four mobile phones, indicating a sophisticated drug operation.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and police are actively pursuing the absconding suspect while investigating the source of the contraband. This historic seizure underscores Madhya Pradesh’s intensified efforts to combat drug trafficking and disrupt illicit networks in the region.
