IIT JAM 2026 Toppers Revealed: Subject-Wise AIR 1 Winners Across All Seven Papers
IIT Bombay releases the JAM 2026 toppers list with subject-wise rank holders named officially.
The IIT Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2026 toppers’ list has been officially released by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, announcing the highest-ranking candidates across all seven subjects. Alongside the toppers’ list, scorecards have also been made available for candidates who appeared in the national-level entrance examination conducted earlier this year.
According to the official announcement, Sarvesh Gupta secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 in Physics, emerging as the top performer in the subject. In chemistry, Ayushi Agrawal claimed the first rank, while Madhur Agrawal topped the mathematics paper. The list also highlights Sakshi Nijwala as the biotechnology topper, Suryoday Sethi in economics, Hrushikesh Nahak in geology, and Koustav Chowdhury in mathematical statistics.
The Joint Admission Test was conducted on February 15 in a computer-based format across multiple centres nationwide. The examination covered seven disciplines, including economics (EN), geology (GG), biotechnology (BT), chemistry (CY), mathematics (MA), mathematical statistics (MS), and physics (PH). The exam is a key gateway for students aspiring to pursue postgraduate science programmes in premier institutions across India.

Candidates who have successfully qualified in the examination will be eligible to apply for admission to MSc and other postgraduate programmes through the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS 2026). The application window is scheduled to remain open from March 27 to April 15, providing candidates with a limited period to complete the admission process.
The admission process will proceed in multiple rounds, with the first admission list expected to be released on May 25. Selected candidates will then be required to confirm their seats within stipulated deadlines, following which subsequent lists may be published depending on seat availability and acceptance trends.
The release of the JAM 2026 results marks a crucial milestone for thousands of aspirants aiming to secure seats in prestigious institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other participating institutes. The examination continues to serve as a highly competitive platform for science graduates seeking advanced academic and research opportunities in India.
