Horror in Lucknow! Man Stabs In-Laws to Death Over Marital Dispute

A chilling double murder rocked Lucknow’s Alambagh area on Wednesday evening when Jagdeep, a 42-year-old man, fatally stabbed his elderly in-laws, Anand Ram, 75, and Asha Devi, 73, amid a heated marital dispute.

The accused, now in custody, carried out the brutal attack at the victims’ home, escalating tensions in a case that has sent shockwaves through the community.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Ashish Srivastava, the incident stemmed from ongoing discord between Jagdeep and his wife, Poonam. In April, Poonam left Jagdeep and began living with her parents in Alambagh.

On Wednesday, Jagdeep visited their home, reportedly to convince Poonam to return. The discussion turned volatile, leading Jagdeep to stab Anand Ram and Asha Devi with a knife he had brought along. Both victims succumbed to their injuries. Police arrested Jagdeep shortly after the incident, based on a complaint filed by Poonam.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to uncover additional details. Social media posts on X have highlighted the tragedy, with users noting Poonam’s decade-long ordeal of torture and violence, demanding justice for the victims.

This shocking crime underscores the devastating consequences of unresolved domestic conflicts, leaving a community in mourning and authorities pressing for accountability.
