Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on October 17, 2025, that nine Japanese companies have committed Rs 5,000 crore in investments through signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), poised to generate 15,000 employment opportunities for the state's youth. Speaking at the "Jan Vishwas-Jan Vikas" event in Panchkula celebrating the first anniversary of the BJP government's third term, Saini highlighted Haryana's emergence as a magnet for global investors, crediting proactive incentive schemes for attracting both domestic and international capital.
Gurugram's transformation into an IT and startup powerhouse underscores the state's innovation surge, with over 9,500 startups under the Haryana Startup Policy 2022, including 19 unicorns and more than 250 Fortune 500 companies. The ambitious 1,000-acre Global City Project in Gurugram is underway, complemented by a logistics hub in Narnaul, a manufacturing cluster in Hisar, and an electronics park in Sohna. Infrastructure advancements include 21 new national highways, with 13 completed, and a Rs 4,827 crore Regional Road Upgradation Project enhancing 9,410 km of roads, fostering seamless connectivity and industrial expansion.
Saini's address spotlighted major investments like Maruti Suzuki's Rs 18,000 crore plant at IMT Kharkhoda, creating 10,000 jobs, alongside Suzuki's Rs 1,466 crore motorcycle facility employing 2,000, and Uno Minda's Rs 2,000 crore alloy wheel plant generating 2,500 positions. Over the past 11 years, 1,220,872 MSMEs have registered, channeling Rs 28,377.59 crore in investments. Saini also noted Haryana's global outreach, with industrialists establishing units in African nations like Tanzania, Kenya, and Rwanda, and a recent delegation of 13 farmers exploring floriculture exports to Kenya.

Social empowerment initiatives shone through, with the PM's "Bima Sakhi Yojana" inspiring the state's "Lado Sakhi" scheme offering Rs 1,000 incentives for women supporting pregnant mothers and girl child births, with 9,656 women already empowered. Scheduled Castes and Backward Class-B communities gain enhanced reservations in jobs and local bodies, while the Prajapati community receives land rights in 1,700 villages for pottery revival. On renewables, the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana targets 37,825 free rooftop solar systems by March 2027, with 161,837 solar pumps installed statewide, blending economic vigor with inclusive, green progress.
