Alwar Jail Love Story: Convicts Priya Seth and Hanuman Prasad Marry After 15-Day Parole

Hanuman Prasad convicted for the 2017 Alwar murders of his girlfriend's family.

A chilling case from Alwar has come to light involving Hanuman Prasad, who is serving a sentence for orchestrating a brutal family murder that shocked the local community.

Prasad was responsible for the deaths of five people, including the husband and children of his girlfriend, Santosh, a taekwondo player from Alwar. On October 2, 2017, Santosh allegedly called Prasad to her home with a sinister request: to kill her husband, Banwari Lal. Prasad arrived with an accomplice and fatally stabbed Banwari Lal using a knife typically used for slaughtering animals.

Tragically, Santosh’s three children and a nephew, who were asleep in the house, witnessed the murder. Fearing they could identify them, Santosh allegedly instructed Prasad to kill the children and nephew as well. Prasad complied, resulting in the deaths of all four children alongside Banwari Lal, marking one of the most heinous murders in Alwar in recent years.

Authorities later tracked and arrested Prasad along with his accomplices, Kamra and Walia, from a flat. The case drew widespread attention due to the gruesome nature of the killings and the involvement of a family member in orchestrating the crime.

The Alwar police continue to highlight this case as an example of premeditated and cold-blooded murder, which left the community reeling and raised concerns over domestic crimes involving extreme violence.
