Gruesome Murder in Bengaluru! Techie Chops Wife into Pieces, Packs in Suitcase

Bengaluru Shocker: Software Engineer Murders Wife, Flees with Body in Suitcase

A chilling crime has rocked the IT hub of India, leaving residents of Doddakannahalli in disbelief. On March 27, a 36-year-old software professional, Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar, allegedly stabbed his wife, Gauri Anil Sambekar, 32, to death in their home near Hulimavu.

The couple, both employed at a private firm and working remotely, had been living together for over a year. What followed the murder was even more gruesome—Rakesh reportedly dismembered Gauri’s body, packed it into a suitcase, and fled the scene.

The horrifying sequence of events came to light when Rakesh contacted Gauri’s parents in Maharashtra, confessing to the crime. Hours later, police discovered the suitcase containing Gauri’s remains near Ambedkar Apartment in Doddanekundi Village, Bengaluru. The shocking discovery triggered an immediate manhunt, and authorities apprehended Rakesh shortly after.

The motive behind the murder remains unclear, with investigators delving into the couple’s relationship and potential triggers.

Neighbors described the couple as quiet and unassuming, making the brutality of the act all the more jarring. “We never heard any fights or disturbances,” said a local resident, speaking anonymously. The incident has reignited discussions about domestic violence and mental health in high-pressure urban settings like Bengaluru.

As of now, Rakesh is in custody, and the police are piecing together evidence to unravel the full story. The tragedy has cast a dark shadow over the city, raising questions about the hidden struggles behind closed doors.
