Rage Across Two States: Four Shot Dead at Birthday Parties in Delhi and UP

Four men killed after minor disputes escalate into fatal shootings at birthday parties.

A shocking wave of violence linked to birthday celebrations has left four people dead in separate incidents in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, turning moments of joy into tragedy after minor disputes escalated into fatal shootings. Police have arrested accused individuals in both cases as investigations continue into what triggered the sudden outbursts of violence.

In the first incident in Delhi, a 21-year-old delivery executive, Pandav Kumar, was allegedly shot dead by a head constable of the Delhi Police, identified as Neeraj Balhara. According to reports, Pandav had visited a friend’s home to attend a child’s birthday celebration and later stepped out for deliveries when the confrontation occurred. Police sources said the constable, who was not on duty at the time, engaged in an argument with the two men, which escalated after he reportedly questioned them about their identity. The situation turned violent when the constable allegedly opened fire, killing Pandav and injuring his friend Krishan, who was also on the motorcycle.

In a separate but equally disturbing case in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, three men were allegedly shot dead during a birthday party dispute involving a gym trainer and his associates. The conflict reportedly began over a minor incident where cake was smeared on the trainer’s face during celebrations, which quickly escalated into a heated argument and later turned violent. The accused allegedly opened fire during the altercation, resulting in the deaths of three individuals at the scene.

Police officials in both states have confirmed arrests and said that investigations are underway to determine the exact sequence of events and motives behind the killings. Preliminary findings suggest that both incidents stemmed from impulsive reactions to minor provocations, which escalated uncontrollably into deadly violence.

The twin tragedies have raised serious concerns about rising aggression in social gatherings and the increasing tendency of conflicts to turn violent over trivial issues. Authorities have urged citizens to exercise restraint and avoid confrontations, especially during public and private celebrations, as legal proceedings in both cases move forward.
