Surat Custody Death: Probe Launched Into Foreign National's Death

A foreign national died while in the custody of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Surat railway station on the night of August 17 after he was detained following an altercation with passengers aboard the Golden Temple Express, officials said. The unidentified man, believed to be in his 40s, was travelling in a general coach of the train from Mumbai to Delhi when the incident occurred. According to police, the trouble began after the train left Vapi station. The man reportedly got into an argument with fellow passengers over standing near the door of the coach.
