The incident unfolded on January 21 in their rented home in Jharsaintli village, where Krishna stayed home to care for their three children while his wife worked. Enraged that the unschooled girl couldn't write numbers up to 50 during a "lesson," he beat her mercilessly, police revealed. The child, unconscious from the assault, was rushed to a government hospital but declared dead on arrival.
Krishna concocted a lie for his wife, claiming their daughter had fatally fallen down the stairs while playing. Upon arriving at the hospital, the mother spotted unmistakable signs of abuse: blue bruises blanketing the child's face and body, along with other injury marks. Deeply suspicious, she confronted hospital staff and immediately filed a complaint at the local police station. The Sector 56 Crime Branch acted swiftly, detaining Krishna and extracting a full confession during intense interrogation.
The couple, employed at a private firm, juggled shifts to manage their family—Krishna handling days, his wife nights. Their children included a 7-year-old son, the deceased 4.5-year-old daughter, and a 2-year-old. Krishna admitted to investigators that he took it upon himself to homeschool the middle child, viewing her failure to memorize numbers as a personal affront. The savage beating caused fatal internal injuries, as preliminary medical reports suggest blunt force trauma to the head and torso.

Faridabad Police spokesperson Yashpal confirmed the remand, with Krishna produced in court for one-day custody to probe deeper.
