DELHI SHOCKER! Man and Woman Found Hanging on Tree in Deer Park

Man and Woman Found Hanging in Delhi’s Deer Park, Suicide Suspected Amid Foul Play Concerns

A grim discovery shook Deer Park in south Delhi’s Hauz Khas area on Sunday morning when the bodies of a 21-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were found hanging from a tree.

Delhi Police suspect the incident to be a case of suicide, possibly linked to a romantic relationship that faced familial opposition, but local speculation of foul play has added complexity to the ongoing investigation.

The incident came to light at 6:31 am when Baljit Singh, a security guard at Deer Park, alerted authorities via a PCR call. Police arrived swiftly and found the man, dressed in a black T-shirt and blue jeans, and the woman, wearing a green dress, suspended from a tree branch with a shared nylon rope. Initial reports had pegged the duo as 17-year-olds, but updated information confirmed the man’s age as 21 and the woman’s as 18.

The man, a pizza shop worker from Pilanji village, reportedly left home around 2 pm on Saturday. The woman, originally from Chattarpur Enclave and temporarily staying with her aunt in Humayunpur village, departed around the same time, ostensibly to return home for personal tasks.

Police theorize that the two, believed to be romantically involved, may have taken their lives due to resistance from their families. No suicide note has been recovered, leaving investigators to piece together the circumstances.

While inquest proceedings are underway, the absence of CCTV cameras inside the park has hampered efforts, though nearby footage is being analyzed. Meanwhile, locals have raised doubts about the suicide narrative.

One resident, speaking to PTI Videos, argued that the tree’s structure made it unlikely for two people to climb and hang themselves, fueling suspicions of murder followed by staging. Police continue to probe all angles as tensions linger in the community.
