Nursing Student Found Dead At Delhi Hostel
A 19-year-old third-year BSc Nursing student allegedly died by suicide at her hostel in Delhi’s Rajinder Nagar area, police said on Friday. The student was found hanging inside her hostel room by fellow students, who subsequently took her to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The hospital later informed the Rajinder Nagar Police Station about the incident, following which a police team reached the hostel and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. The deceased student was a resident of Najafgarh in Delhi and was pursuing her third year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. According to police, fellow students discovered her inside the hostel room and took her to the hospital.
The circumstances in which she was found prompted the hospital authorities to notify the local police, after which officers initiated the required investigation and visited the hostel premises. A police team from the Rajinder Nagar Police Station reached the hostel after receiving information about the incident. Officers examined the room where the student was found and began collecting information that could help establish the sequence of events. Police also called a crime scene investigation team to examine the location and document evidence that could be relevant to the inquiry.
