Delhi Bed Box Murder! Husband Arrested in Bihar, Grisly Trio Complete

Delhi Bed Box Murder: Husband Nabbed in Bihar, Grisly Trio Complete

The Delhi Police have reeled in the final piece of a chilling murder puzzle, arresting Ashish Kumar, 45, from Bihar in the pre-dawn hours of Sunday.

Kumar, the husband of Anju alias Anjali, whose decomposing body was discovered Friday inside a bed box in a Shahdara flat, now joins his alleged accomplices—flat owner Vivekanand Mishra, 64, and driver Abhay Kumar Jha alias Sonu, 29—in custody.

The trio’s arrest caps a swift, relentless manhunt sparked by a gruesome find that’s gripped the capital.

Police say Anju caught Ashish, Mishra, and Jha in a compromising situation, igniting a deadly fallout. She fled to her parents’ home in Ludhiana, Punjab, but Ashish lured her back to Delhi on March 21.

Two days later, on March 23, the three men allegedly killed her, stuffed her body—wrapped in a blanket—into a bed box at Mishra’s flat, and bolted to Jaipur, crashing at Jha’s cousin’s place. While Mishra slunk back to Delhi, Ashish and Jha hightailed it to Bihar—until Sunday’s takedown.

Mishra and Jha were nabbed Saturday, with Mishra caught in Anand Vihar and Jha snagged at Aligarh Railway Station. Now, with Ashish in the hot seat, interrogations are underway to unravel the full story behind this macabre plot. Shahdara’s dark secret is out—and justice is closing in.
