Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has firmly assured that justice will be delivered to the family of Ram Narayan Bhayar, a migrant worker from Chhattisgarh who was brutally lynched by a mob in Walayar, Palakkad district, on December 17. In a strongly worded statement, the CM emphasized that no effort will be spared in holding the perpetrators accountable, underscoring the government's resolve to uphold the rule of law in the face of this horrific incident that has sent shockwaves across the state.

The Chief Minister announced that stringent legal punitive measures will be imposed on all those involved in the crime, with a special investigation team, led by the Palakkad district police chief, actively probing the case. The government has directed authorities to meticulously review the ongoing investigation details and implement appropriate legal actions without delay, ensuring a thorough and impartial process to bring the culprits to book.

Regarding support for the bereaved family, Vijayan stated that the government is committed to providing compensation promptly and adequately, recognizing the profound loss suffered by the victim's relatives. This assurance comes amid calls from various quarters for financial assistance and dignified handling of the aftermath, reflecting the administration's intent to extend necessary aid during this tragic period.

The CM categorically condemned the gruesome act, declaring that such barbaric violence has no place in Kerala's progressive and civilized society, which prides itself on values of equality, harmony, and humanity.
