Chilling Confession: Man Poisons Lover, Dumps Body in River

Uttar Pradesh man kills ex-lover after she rejects his demands.

In a shocking case from Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, Jagdeesh Raikwar was arrested for poisoning and strangling his former live-in partner, Rani, before dumping her body in the Shahzad River, police revealed. Raikwar, who chillingly told authorities, “She wanted to die, so I killed her,” showed no remorse for the brutal murder.

Rani had left her husband, Narendra, to live with Raikwar in a rented house in Lalitpur. Tensions arose when Raikwar, whose marriage was arranged with another woman, demanded that Rani live with both him and his fiancée. When Rani refused and moved to Ashok Nagar, Madhya Pradesh, to stay with another man, Raikwar’s rage led him to plot her murder.

Police said Raikwar researched murder methods on Google and YouTube, devising a plan to lure Rani back. He spiked her drink with poison, and when she fainted, he strangled her to death. Raikwar then purchased a blue sack, stuffed Rani’s body inside, and rode his bike to dump it in the Shahzad River.

On Wednesday, local fishermen spotted the sack floating in the river and alerted authorities. The decomposed body was identified through a tattoo reading “R-Jagdeesh” on Rani’s hand. Raikwar, who fled to his village to evade suspicion, was apprehended while planning his escape.
