Busted: 46 Kg Heroin, Terror Link to LeT Exposed in Explosive Chargesheet Filed by SIA!

SIA charges LeT-linked duo in 46 kg heroin narco-terror case.

In a major breakthrough in the battle against narco-terrorism, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) has filed its first chargesheet in a high-profile drug trafficking case involving the seizure of 46 kg of heroin, uncovering a direct link to Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The case, which began with the arrest of Sartaj Singh in Jammu last August and the seizure of over 33 kg of heroin, quickly escalated after the capture of a second accused, Amritpal Singh alias Fouji, who was caught with an additional 12.6 kg of the drug.

Following the discovery of cross-border terror linkages, the case was handed to the SIA Jammu. Investigators, using advanced technical, scientific, and human intelligence methods, unearthed concrete evidence tying Amritpal Singh to a Pakistan-based LeT handler, confirming the operation as a narco-terror plot.

The SIA has now filed a detailed chargesheet in court, framing serious charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against the accused and other unidentified conspirators.

Officials say this development is a major win in the fight against narco-funded terrorism, exposing how transnational terror networks are using drug routes to finance and fuel militancy in Jammu and Kashmir and beyond.

The case underscores growing concerns over the deadly nexus between terrorism and drug trafficking—and the urgent need for heightened vigilance and crackdowns.
