Bus-Truck Crash Kills Four in Telangana

Tragic collision on Hyderabad-Proddatur route claims lives.

A horrific collision between a private bus and a trailer truck in Telangana’s Mahabubnagar district claimed the lives of four passengers and left four others injured in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025. The accident, which occurred around 2:15 AM under the Addakal police station limits, has sent shockwaves through the region, highlighting the dangers of nighttime travel on busy highways.

According to police reports, the bus, carrying 32 passengers from Hyderabad to Proddatur, rammed into the rear of a trailer truck, resulting in a catastrophic impact. Three passengers died instantly at the scene, while five others were rushed to a nearby hospital with severe injuries. Tragically, one of the injured succumbed during treatment, raising the death toll to four. The identities of the deceased are yet to be released, pending notification of their families.

Emergency response teams worked swiftly to extricate victims and provide medical aid. The injured are currently under treatment, with authorities monitoring their condition closely. “This is a devastating incident, and we are investigating the cause of the collision,” a police official stated. Preliminary findings suggest that factors such as high speed, poor visibility, or driver fatigue may have contributed to the crash, though a detailed probe is underway.
