#BreakingNews: Security Forces Bust Militant Module In Manipur, Seize IEDs

Counter-insurgency operation in Manipur leads to arrests and seizure of weapons and explosives.

Security forces have arrested three suspected militants during coordinated operations in parts of Manipur, recovering a cache of arms, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), officials said on Saturday. The arrests were made amid ongoing efforts to curb insurgent activity and restore stability in the violence-hit northeastern state.

According to police sources, the operation was carried out based on specific intelligence inputs regarding the movement of armed individuals in sensitive areas. During the search, security personnel seized firearms, detonators, explosives and other incriminating materials believed to be intended for disruptive activities. The suspects were taken into custody for further interrogation and legal proceedings.

Authorities stated that preliminary investigations suggest the arrested individuals were linked to underground outfits active in the region. The recovered IEDs were safely defused by bomb disposal squads to prevent any potential threat to civilian life and property. Officials did not immediately disclose the identities of the accused, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
