#BreakingNews: Lawrence Bishnoi’s Ex-Aide Executed in Public Shooting Spree

Ex-Bishnoi gang member killed in brazen public attack.

A former close aide of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was shot dead in Chandigarh on Monday night, police confirmed. The victim, identified as Inderpreet Singh alias Parry, 35, was attacked near Timber Market in Sector-26 and later pronounced dead at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). Authorities have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. The shooting has triggered concerns about escalating gang rivalries and public safety in the city.

According to preliminary reports, Parry had left a private club in an SUV, accompanied by an unidentified individual, when gunmen opened fire. Investigators recovered at least five empty shell casings inside the vehicle. Moments later, another assailant, arriving in a separate vehicle, fired additional shots at Parry to ensure he was dead before fleeing the scene. Police have described the attack as “brazen and meticulously planned,” reflecting the heightened operational capabilities of rival criminal factions in the region.

Authorities suspect the killing may be connected to inter-gang rivalries. Parry, who was previously affiliated with the Bishnoi gang, had reportedly shifted loyalties to another faction led by Goldy Brar, who had parted ways with Bishnoi. An unverified social media post claimed responsibility for the attack, alleging that Parry had extorted money from local clubs and orchestrated attacks against their associates. Police are currently verifying the authenticity of the post while reviewing intelligence to determine potential links to organized crime networks.

Parry had an extensive criminal record in Chandigarh and Punjab, which included charges of extortion, assault, rioting, attempt to murder, and offences under the Arms Act. His association with Lawrence Bishnoi dated back to their student years at DAV College, where they both entered the Students Organisation of Panjab University in 2010. The two were once jailed together and remained key figures in Bishnoi’s network before Parry reportedly shifted allegiance, intensifying tensions between rival groups.

This brazen attack underscores ongoing conflicts between rival gangs and the persistent threat posed by organized criminal networks in northern India. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, reviewing CCTV footage, witness accounts, and forensic evidence to identify all perpetrators. The incident also highlights challenges for law enforcement in curbing public acts of gang violence, raising concerns about civilian safety in urban centres like Chandigarh.
