#BreakingNews: FIR Filed After Two Vehicles Burnt Using Inflammable Substance in Bilaspur
Two parked cars were set on fire in Bilaspur’s Sidhrawali area; police registered an FIR using CCTV evidence.
Unidentified assailants set fire to two parked vehicles in Sidhrawali village early on December 17, 2025, reducing a Mahindra Thar and a Maruti Suzuki WagonR to ashes in an apparent act of arson. The incident occurred around 2:10 a.m. while residents were asleep, with the suspects allegedly pouring an inflammable substance on the vehicles outside the home of brothers Raman Yadav and Pardeep Kumar.
CCTV footage from the entrance of Yadav's house captured a masked individual committing the act, providing key evidence for investigators. Locals noticed the flames several minutes later and alerted authorities, but by the time police and fire services arrived, both vehicles had been extensively damaged, with the blaze also affecting parts of the nearby residence.
Raman Yadav, a 33-year-old pharmacy business owner, filed a complaint suspecting neighbours involved in an ongoing six-month dispute. He alleged that the same family had previously damaged his car on October 4, 2025, but no action was taken by police at the time, prompting him to believe the arson was retaliation.

An FIR was registered against an unknown accused under Section 326(f) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita—for mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause damage—at Bilaspur police station on Tuesday. Gurugram Police PRO Sandeep Turan confirmed the investigation is underway, stating that the suspect seen in the footage will be identified and arrested soon to ascertain the exact motive.
The arson has heightened concerns among villagers about personal enmities escalating into criminal acts. Police are examining the CCTV recordings in detail and pursuing leads based on Yadav's allegations of prior tensions.
