#BreakingNews: Drone-Dropped Arms Cache From Pakistan Seized in Jammu Kashmir
Authorities recover weapons and ammunition allegedly dropped by a drone from Pakistan near Samba, Jammu and Kashmir.
In a major security operation, a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Border Security Force (BSF) recovered a cache of arms and ammunition near the International Border in Samba district. The cache, wrapped in a packet, was found at Paloora village under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.
Officials said the recovery followed a tip-off about suspicious activity across the border. Alert personnel set up a night ambush near the Regal Border Out Post (BOP) and spotted a drone dropping a package, which was promptly secured by the BSF.
The seized items included a 9mm pistol with two magazines, a Glock 9mm pistol with one magazine, a Chinese hand grenade marked “SPL HGR 84,” and 16 live 9mm rounds. Sources indicated the drone was operating from the Pakistani village of Chak Bhura.

Authorities believe the arms were intended for terrorists and overground workers (OGWs) on the Indian side. Police have registered a case, launched an inquiry, and are investigating the origins and network behind the drop.
The seizure comes shortly after Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed Jammu and Kashmir’s security with senior officials, urging forces to intensify counter-terror operations and dismantle terror infrastructure. Shah reaffirmed the central government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism and ensuring lasting peace in the region.
