Bengaluru Woman Claims Young Boys Passed Lewd Comments on Her Clothes at Avalahalli

A woman jogging in Avalahalli forest near Bengaluru alleges a group of 10-year-old boys made obscene comments about her attire, leaving her questioning safety even from children.

A woman has alleged that she was subjected to obscene remarks by a group of young boys, reportedly around 10 years old, while she was jogging at the Avalahalli forest area near Bengaluru. The incident, which she described in a video shared on social media, has sparked concern over public safety and the behaviour of minors in public spaces.

According to the woman, the incident occurred after she completed a 5-kilometre run and was walking towards the forest exit. She said the boys made inappropriate comments about her clothing, leaving her shocked and unsettled. The video, which has since circulated online, details her account of the encounter and her emotional response.

The woman said the experience deeply disturbed her, particularly because of the young age of the boys involved. “Now should I worry about small kids too?” she said in the video, expressing anxiety over the changing nature of harassment and the unexpected source of the remarks.

Her account has triggered widespread discussion on social media, with many users expressing concern about the early exposure of children to inappropriate attitudes and language. Others have called for greater parental responsibility, improved social awareness, and education on respect and boundaries from a young age.

While there has been no official confirmation of a police complaint at the time of reporting, the incident has raised questions about safety in public recreational spaces, especially for women who use parks and forest trails for exercise.

The episode has renewed calls for authorities and communities to work together to ensure safer environments, while also addressing behavioural issues among children through education, supervision, and responsible digital exposure.
