Bengaluru salutes trailblazing women at 35th Devi Awards.
Bengaluru is set to honor 11 extraordinary women at the 35th Devi Awards on November 8, 2025, celebrating their unmatched courage, creativity, and impact across diverse fields. Hosted by The New Indian Express at ITC Gardenia from 6 PM, the gala will spotlight achievers from sports, cinema, sustainability, education, literature, and entrepreneurship. Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of Axilor Ventures, will present the awards to these change-makers who’ve shattered glass ceilings and redefined success through bold innovation and relentless drive.
From the cricket pitch to zero-waste revolutions, this year’s honorees span a stunning spectrum. Former cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy is recognized for her sporting legacy and broadcasting prowess, while Sahar Mansoor of Bare Necessities leads the charge for a plastic-free future. Multilingual star Shraddha Srinath earns applause for cinematic excellence, and textile artist Pragati Mathur weaves magic with handloom innovation. Acclaimed author Anita Nair is celebrated for her genre-defying literary brilliance.
Empowerment takes center stage with Craftizen Foundation’s Mayura Balasubramanian, who uses craft as a tool for social upliftment, and Nectar Fresh founder Chayaa Nanjappa, who blends business with purpose. Educationist Nooraine Fazal, CEO of Inventure Academy, is honored for transforming learning standards, while sports administrator Deepthi Bopaiah drives systemic reform in athletics. Management expert Hema Ravichander is lauded for crisis leadership, and Divya Raghavendra Rao, co-founder of The Rameshwaram Café, is feted for scaling authentic South Indian cuisine into a national sensation.
Since its launch in New Delhi in 2014, the Devi Awards have recognized over 300 women across 34 editions in cities nationwide. This marks Bengaluru’s third hosting, following 2015 and 2024, cementing its status as a hub for trailblazing talent. Each winner embodies the Devi spirit—dynamic, fearless, and fiercely committed to shaping communities and inspiring generations.
As the city gathers to cheer these icons, the Devi Awards 2025 stand as a powerful reminder: when women rise, they lift entire societies. From zero-waste warriors to literary queens, these 11 are proof that substance, not spotlight, defines true greatness.
