West Bengal MLA Gautam Chowdhury’s vehicle fatally struck 56-year-old Radhakanta Lenka on NH-16 in Balasore, Odisha, sparking outrage and a police probe

A tragic accident on National Highway 16 near Jamujhadi, under Simulia Police Station limits, claimed the life of 56-year-old Radhakanta Lenka, a peon at Binayakpur High School, when a speeding Mahindra XUV700, carrying West Bengal’s Howrah Uttar MLA Gautam Chowdhury and his family, collided with his scooter on Wednesday at around 10:30 AM.

The crash, which occurred as the MLA’s vehicle returned from Puri, left the scooter mangled and another rider, a relative of Lenka, critically injured.
