Atishi Slams BJP as Over 45 Delhi Schools Face Bomb Threat Chaos
Mass panic erupts as Delhi schools face a wave of bomb threats, forcing evacuations and sparking outrage.
Panic gripped the capital as more than 45 schools received bomb threats on Friday, marking the fourth such incident this week. The threats, sent via email, triggered immediate action from Delhi Police, bomb disposal squads, dog units, and fire departments, who rushed to evacuate students and staff.
Among the targeted schools were Maxfort Junior School and Guru Nanak School in Pitampura, six in Dwarka including St Thomas School and GD Goenka School, and others across Rohini, Paschim Vihar, South Delhi, and more, such as Bharti Public School, Hamdard Public School, and Delhi Public School branches in R K Puram and Vasant Vihar. The British School in Chanakyapuri and Amity International School in Saket were also hit.
Authorities launched extensive search operations, with no explosives found so far. The repeated threats have left students, parents, and teachers traumatized, with evacuations causing widespread disruption. Former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi lashed out at the BJP-led government, stating on X, “BJP controls all 4-engines of governance in Delhi, and is yet not able to provide any safety or security to our children! Shocking!”
