Ambala Court Evacuated After Bomb Threat Email; No Suspicious Items Found

Ambala district court searched after bomb threat email; nothing suspicious found.

A bomb threat email prompted a large-scale security operation at the Ambala district court complex on Friday, police officials confirmed. The alert led authorities to deploy specialised teams to inspect the premises, ensuring the safety of court staff and visitors.

Following the email, the Ambala City police immediately rushed bomb disposal squads, sniffer dogs, and other specialised units to the court. Officers carried out a meticulous search of the complex, checking all rooms, hallways, and public areas.

SHO Suresh Kumar confirmed that the operation did not uncover any suspicious objects. Entry to the court was temporarily restricted, and visitors were screened using metal detectors and required to present valid identification before being allowed inside.

This incident is part of a series of hoax threats reported in Ambala district. Earlier this week, three local schools received bomb threat emails, prompting thorough inspections, though nothing hazardous was discovered. Last month, similar threats targeted three schools and the Ambala Deputy Commissioner’s office, all of which were later confirmed as false alarms.

Police have urged the public and institutions to remain vigilant and report any suspicious emails or messages immediately. Authorities continue to investigate the source of the latest threat and have warned that sending false alarms is a serious offence under law.

The operation at the Ambala court underscores the preparedness of local law enforcement and highlights the importance of strict security measures in government and public institutions, especially in response to potential threats.
