32-Year-Old Arrested in Delhi for Sexual Assault on Minor Girl

Delhi man arrested for sexually assaulting 8-year-old girl in Aman Vihar.

In a disturbing incident from Delhi’s Aman Vihar area, a 32-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly molesting and sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl under the pretext of repairing a speaker, police said. The accused, identified as Sadaruddin, is known to the victim’s father, and both belong to the same community, according to investigators.

The incident came to light on April 2, when a PCR call reporting the assault was received at the Aman Vihar Police Station. The police acted promptly, recording the victim’s statement in the presence of her parents. Based on her account, a case was registered under FIR No. 169/26 dated April 2, 2026, under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to the police, the accused lured the young girl to his home under the guise of fixing a speaker. Once inside, he allegedly committed the sexual assault. Following the filing of the FIR, Sadaruddin was taken into custody and later sent to judicial custody while investigations continue.

A video related to the case has circulated widely on social media, drawing public attention to the severity of the incident. Law enforcement officials have emphasized the importance of following proper legal procedures to ensure the protection of the victim and her family.

DCP Rohini district Shashank Jaiswal stated, “We are following all legal procedures to ensure a thorough investigation while protecting the victim and her family.” He also warned that strict action would be taken against anyone attempting to exploit or harm minors.

The Rohini district police have assured the public that the investigation is ongoing and that all necessary measures are being taken to secure justice for the victim. Authorities have urged parents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior involving children immediately.
