3 Murders Over Parking a Tractor! Fatehpur on High Alert after BKU President Shot Down
Triple Tragedy in Fatehpur: BKU Leader, Son, and Brother Gunned Down Over Tractor Tangle
A seemingly mundane dispute over a parked tractor spiraled into a deadly shootout in Akhri village, Fatehpur district, Uttar Pradesh, claiming the lives of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) district president Pappu Singh (50), his son Abhay Singh (22), and his younger brother Pinku Singh (45).
The shocking triple murder, which unfolded on Tuesday, has left the village reeling and exposed simmering tensions rooted in local rivalries.
According to Inspector General of Police Prem Kumar Gautam, the fatal chain of events began when former village head Suresh Kumar, alias Munnu, confronted Pappu Singh over his tractor blocking a road, impeding the passage of Kumar’s bike.
What started as a verbal spat quickly escalated into a violent clash when Kumar’s sons and aides joined the fray, unleashing a hail of bullets that ended three lives in an instant.
Police reports indicate that the suspects—Suresh Kumar and his sons—shared a longstanding political enmity with the victims, adding a layer of motive to the bloodshed. The accused have been detained, and IG Gautam has pledged to visit the scene to oversee the response as authorities scramble to quell panic in the village.
The incident underscores the volatile mix of personal grudges and local power struggles that can erupt with devastating consequences in rural India. As Akhri mourns, questions linger about justice and the deeper rivalries that turned a petty argument into a tragedy of unimaginable proportions. The investigation is ongoing, with police promising swift action to address this chilling crime.
