20 World Leaders Confirmed for India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi
20 world leaders including Macron, Lula, and Sánchez to attend India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi starting Feb 16.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is set to commence on February 16 at Bharat Mandapam, positioning India at the centre of global conversations on artificial intelligence. The five-day summit, running until February 20, will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and innovators from across the world. Structured around the pillars of People, Planet and Progress, the event aims to explore inclusive growth, employment generation, skilling, and sustainable AI development.
Touted as the largest among the four global AI summits held so far, the event is expected to witness participation from 20 heads of government, more than 45 ministers and over 40 Indian and international CEOs. According to India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the summit will also host ministerial delegations from over 45 countries, alongside the UN Secretary-General and senior representatives of leading international organisations. With more than 700 sessions planned, discussions will focus on economic transformation, ethical governance and energy-efficient AI systems.
Among the prominent global leaders scheduled to attend are President Emmanuel Macron of France, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil, President Pedro Sánchez of Spain, and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of Sri Lanka. Prime Ministers from nations including Finland, Greece, Croatia, the Netherlands and Bhutan will also be present, reflecting the summit’s global diplomatic weight. Leaders from Switzerland, Serbia, Slovakia, Estonia and several other countries further underscore its international reach.

The summit will also draw some of the world’s most influential technology and business figures. Confirmed attendees include Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries; Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft; Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google; Sam Altman; Jensen Huang; and Cristiano Amon, among others. Their participation signals strong industry alignment with India’s AI ambitions and investment ecosystem.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate the summit and is expected to convene a high-level CEO roundtable to highlight India’s AI roadmap. The discussions are likely to focus on innovation-friendly regulation, digital public infrastructure and workforce transformation. As India positions itself as a global AI hub, the summit marks a strategic step toward shaping a balanced, human-centric and sustainable AI future.
