A 15-year-old student died on Wednesday after falling from the third floor of a private school in Bidar, Karnataka, triggering allegations of harassment and prompting demands for a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The deceased, identified as Sameer, was a Class X student at Janseva Private School located in LIC Colony and a resident of Shantinagar in Bidar.
According to preliminary information, Sameer fell from the third floor of the school building under circumstances that have not yet been officially clarified. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment but succumbed to his injuries despite medical intervention. Authorities have not confirmed whether the incident was accidental or if any other factors were involved.
Following the incident, the student’s family alleged that Sameer had been facing persistent harassment from certain school staff members. They claimed he had repeatedly informed them about the issue prior to his death. The family also raised concerns over the handling of the body, alleging that school authorities sent it for postmortem without informing them or obtaining their consent.

At BRIMS Hospital, where the student’s body was kept, emotionally charged scenes unfolded as grieving relatives gathered and demanded strict action against those responsible. The family urged authorities to conduct a thorough and impartial inquiry into the circumstances leading to the student’s death and to hold accountable anyone found responsible.
Police from the New Town Police Station have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Officials said they are examining all possible angles, including the circumstances of the fall and the allegations made by the family regarding harassment and procedural lapses. Authorities have assured that a detailed inquiry will be conducted to establish the exact cause of death and determine whether any negligence or misconduct contributed to the incident.
