14-year-old girl gang-raped by nine men in Ranchi, five arrested so far.
A shocking case of sexual assault has emerged from Ranchi, where a 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by nine men in the Ratu area on Sunday night, police confirmed on Monday.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Praveen Pushkar stated that swift raids at multiple locations led to the arrest of five accused individuals within hours of the incident coming to light. The survivor has undergone a medical examination as part of the investigation.
Authorities are currently conducting an intensive search to nab the remaining four suspects still at large. “An FIR has been lodged under various sections of the POCSO Act,” said Ramnarayan Singh, officer-in-charge of Ratu police station.
