14-Year-Old Daughter Of Rohit Pawar’s Assistant Found Dead In Baramati
Teenage girl found dead near home as police investigate circumstances.
A 14-year-old girl, identified as Avani Ajit Dashavatare, was found dead near her residence in Baramati on Sunday morning. Avani was the daughter of Ajit Dashavatare, who serves as the personal assistant to NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar. Police officials reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and began investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to preliminary information, Avani had an argument with her mother over an issue on Saturday night and subsequently left home. When she did not return, her family approached the police and lodged a missing person complaint. Her body was later found near the roadside close to her residence, following which police initiated further proceedings in the case.
The body was taken to Baramati Government Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police said the exact circumstances and cause of death have not yet been established. Officials are examining all relevant aspects of the case, while the post-mortem examination is expected to provide important information for the ongoing investigation.

Police are investigating the case from all possible angles and have not reached a final conclusion regarding the circumstances of the girl's death. A senior police official, as reported by news agency PTI, confirmed that an investigation was underway. Rohit Pawar visited the Government Medical College and Hospital after learning about the incident and reviewed the situation. Expressing grief over Avani's death, the MLA said he was shocked by the incident and stressed the need for a thorough investigation. He also urged officials to ensure that the post-mortem process was conducted properly and without any negligence.
Pawar said Ajit Dashavatare had been working with him since his Zilla Parishad days and urged the authorities to establish the facts surrounding the incident. He said he was awaiting the outcome of the police investigation and called for the truth to be established without lapses. The investigation remains ongoing, with further details expected after the post-mortem examination and police inquiry.
