Varun Dhawan, Tara Sutaria Dazzle As Showstoppers At KALKI’s Couture Debut

Indian fashion house KALKI debuted its first independent couture showcase, ZEHN, on September 10, 2025, at the majestic Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad, blending royal heritage with contemporary artistry. Set 609 meters above the city, the historic palace, once home to the Nizams, provided a regal backdrop for a collection that celebrated India’s rich craftsmanship while reimagining it for a global audience. The event, attended by luminaries from fashion and entertainment, marked a defining moment for KALKI, positioning it at the forefront of Indian couture.

The ZEHN collection, named after the Urdu word for intellect, showcased 60-70 meticulously crafted looks for modern brides, grooms, and couture enthusiasts. Each ensemble, from intricate bridal wear to bold menswear, reflected a narrative of tradition and innovation, weaving together Zardozi, Resham, sequins, and Moti work with contemporary silhouettes.

The pieces, requiring hundreds of hours of artisanal labor, were designed to serve as heirlooms, embodying both cultural legacy and modern elegance. Priced between INR 1.5 lakh and INR 6 lakh, the collection is now available at KALKI’s boutiques across India, online globally, and through private consultations for international clients.

Bollywood stars Varun Dhawan and Tara Sutaria stole the spotlight as showstoppers, donning standout ensembles described as the “crown jewels” of ZEHN. Their commanding presence on the runway, set against the palace’s marble staircases and opulent courtyards, amplified the collection’s themes of magnificence and individuality. The star-studded event, attended by fashion industry elites, elevated the evening into a cultural milestone, with attendees praising the seamless fusion of heritage and modernity.
