Uttar Pradesh Final Electoral Roll Hits 13.39 Crore After Major Revision Exercise
Uttar Pradesh’s final voter list reaches 13.39 crore after adding 84 lakh voters in statewide revision.
Uttar Pradesh’s electorate has risen to 13.39 crore after the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with the final voter list reflecting an addition of over 84 lakh voters across the state, officials announced on Friday. The revision exercise covered all 75 districts and 403 assembly constituencies, marking one of the most extensive voter roll updates in recent years.
The final electoral roll was released by Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa during a press briefing at the Lok Bhawan Media Centre in Lucknow. He said the 166-day exercise was carried out between October 27, 2025, and April 10, 2026, involving extensive field-level verification across polling stations with the participation of election officials, political parties, and booth-level workers.
According to the data shared, the final voter list now stands at 13,39,84,792 electors, compared to 12,55,56,025 in the draft roll published earlier. The increase includes over 42 lakh additional male voters, around 42 lakh female voters, and a marginal rise in third-gender voters. The revision also recorded a significant jump in young voters, particularly in the 18–19 age group.

Officials noted improvements in electoral demographics, including a rise in the gender ratio from 824 to 834 female voters per 1,000 male voters. The number of young voters aged 18–19 increased to 17,63,360, accounting for 1.32% of the total electorate, reflecting higher enrolment among first-time voters.
District-wise data showed the highest additions in Prayagraj, followed by Lucknow, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, and Jaunpur, indicating strong population growth and increased voter registration activity in both urban and semi-urban regions. Authorities said the revision process involved coordination among thousands of election staff, including Booth Level Officers and Electoral Registration Officers.
The Election Commission described the completion of the exercise as a result of large-scale administrative coordination and public participation. Officials added that the updated electoral roll would serve as the foundation for upcoming electoral processes in the state, ensuring broader inclusion and improved accuracy in voter representation.
