UP Man Murders Son, Conceals Body in Trunk; Tragedy Discovered by Mother
Firozabad man allegedly kills 12-year-old son with sharp weapon over marital dispute; mother discovers tragedy on return.
A 12-year-old boy was allegedly killed by his father in Uttar Pradesh following a dispute with his wife, in a case that has shocked local residents and prompted a police manhunt for the accused. According to officials, the man is suspected of murdering the child and concealing the body inside a trunk before fleeing the area.
Police said the incident came to light after the boy’s mother reported her son missing and raised suspicions about her husband’s behaviour. During questioning and a subsequent search of the house, officers discovered the child’s body hidden inside a trunk, indicating an attempt to dispose of or conceal the crime.
Preliminary investigations suggest the murder followed a prolonged marital dispute between the couple. Police officials said the accused allegedly targeted the child during a moment of intense domestic conflict, though they stressed that the exact sequence of events and motive are still under investigation.
After the incident, the accused reportedly fled the area, triggering a search operation by local police teams. Authorities said multiple teams have been formed to track him down, and efforts are underway to determine whether he received any assistance while escaping.
The child’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination to establish the precise cause of death and collect forensic evidence. Police said the findings will play a crucial role in strengthening the case once the accused is arrested.
The incident has once again highlighted concerns over domestic violence and its devastating impact on children. Police officials urged families facing disputes to seek legal and social support, emphasising that violence within the home can have irreversible consequences.
