Trump Set for Davos Keynote and High-Level Reception with Seven Indian Business Titans

US President Donald Trump makes his first Davos appearance in six years with a keynote and reception for leading Indian executives from Tata, Bharti, Wipro, Infosys, Bajaj, Mahindra, and Jubilant.

Seven prominent Indian business leaders have been invited to attend a high-level reception hosted by US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos this week. Trump’s appearance at the annual gathering marks his first return to Davos in six years and comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions and global economic uncertainty.

Trump is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on Wednesday before hosting the exclusive reception, which will bring together select global political and corporate leaders. His participation is being closely watched, given the evolving international landscape and renewed debates around trade, geopolitics, and economic alignment.

Among the invitees are some of India’s most influential corporate figures, reflecting the country’s growing importance in global business and policy discussions. The Indian executives attending the reception include Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons; Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises; Srini Pallia, Chief Executive Officer of Wipro; and Salil S. Parekh, Chief Executive Officer of Infosys.

Also invited are Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv; Anish Shah, Group Chief Executive of the Mahindra Group; and Hari S. Bhartia, Founder and Co-Chairman of the Jubilant Bhartia Group. Together, these leaders represent key sectors of the Indian economy, including technology, manufacturing, finance, telecommunications, and diversified conglomerates.

The World Economic Forum this year is taking place against a backdrop of slowing global growth, geopolitical conflicts, and ongoing debates over supply chains, climate policy, and digital transformation. Trump’s return adds a layer of political significance to the event, particularly given his influence on global trade and international relations.

The presence of leading Indian CEOs at Trump’s reception underscores India’s expanding role in global economic conversations. It also highlights the growing engagement between Indian industry leaders and international policymakers as countries seek to navigate an increasingly complex and uncertain global environment.
