Toyota Raises SUV, MPV Prices From January; Fortuner Hit Hardest
Toyota raises prices and drops variants across popular models in January 2026.
Toyota India has implemented significant price revisions across its SUV and MPV lineup effective January 2026, with the Fortuner seeing the steepest increases ranging from ₹51,000 to ₹74,000. The entry-level 4X2 MT petrol variant now starts at ₹34.16 lakh, while the 4X4 models begin at ₹38.68 lakh. Additionally, the Fortuner Legender variants have received hikes of up to ₹71,000, reflecting the company's strategy to adjust pricing amid rising input costs and market dynamics.
The Innova Crysta has also been affected, with price increases between ₹21,000 and ₹33,000 depending on the variant. The GX 7-seater and 8-seater trims face the highest jump of ₹33,000, now priced from ₹18.99 lakh. Higher variants such as the VX and ZX see moderate hikes of ₹24,000 to ₹26,000, pushing the top-end ZX model to ₹25.53 lakh.
The Innova Hycross has undergone both a price adjustment and a variant rejig, with the entry-level G trim discontinued entirely. The new price band starts at ₹19.15 lakh, while the GX(O) variants are up by ₹31,000 and the hybrid models, beginning from the VX, have received increases of around ₹40,000. The flagship ZX(O) variant sees the largest hike of ₹48,000.

In a separate move, Toyota has removed the base E MT variant of the Rumion, previously priced at ₹9.51 lakh. The updated price range now begins at ₹10.44 lakh and extends up to ₹13.62 lakh, effectively shifting the entry point higher while keeping the top-end price unchanged.
Several other models in Toyota's portfolio, including the Hyryder, Taisor, Hilux, Camry, Vellfire, and Land Cruiser 300, remain unaffected by the latest price revision. The discontinuation of select variants across the Fortuner, Hycross, and Rumion reflects Toyota's ongoing efforts to streamline offerings and align with current customer preferences and demand trends.
