A simple LinkedIn message sent in 2018 by two young engineers working at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has grown into one of India's biggest space technology success stories. That message led entrepreneur and investor Mukesh Bansal to back what would become Skyroot Aerospace, a Hyderabad-based start-up that has since emerged as one of India's leading private space companies and achieved unicorn status. The journey began when the two engineers, then working at ISRO's Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram, reached out to Bansal with an ambitious proposal.
