Tata AutoComp’s THSL Creates Global Record With Deming Prize Win, Third Honour in Two Years
Tata AutoComp’s suspension unit wins Deming Prize, marking global recognition for quality.
Tata AutoComp Systems, one of India’s leading automotive component manufacturers, has earned global recognition after its subsidiary, Tata AutoComp Hendrickson Suspensions Limited (THSL), won the prestigious Deming Prize. This marks the company’s third Deming Prize in just two years, following similar accolades for its Composites Division and Tata Ficosa business unit in 2024.
The Deming Prize, one of the highest international honors for excellence in Total Quality Management (TQM), celebrates organizations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and productivity. With this recognition, THSL has become the first commercial vehicle suspension system manufacturer in the world to receive this distinction—an achievement that underscores India’s growing influence in global manufacturing quality standards.
Expressing pride in the company’s consistent success, Arvind Goel, Vice-Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems, said that winning three Deming Prizes in two years reflects the company’s unwavering focus on quality excellence. “This milestone highlights that TQM is not just a practice but a people-driven movement that defines our organizational culture,” Goel said. He added that Tata AutoComp’s future roadmap involves expanding TQM adoption across its remaining business units to pursue similar global benchmarks.
