SpiceJet Steps In: Adds 30 Emergency Flights as IndiGo Crisis Deepens
SpiceJet deploys nearly 30 extra flights from Delhi & Mumbai to ease IndiGo grounding chaos.
In a swift response to the ongoing IndiGo crisis that has stranded thousands of passengers across major metros, SpiceJet has announced the addition of nearly 30 new flights from Delhi and Mumbai. The airline confirmed that 14 fresh services will depart from Mumbai, while 15 new flights will operate out of Delhi, significantly boosting seat availability during a period of high travel disruption.
According to details shared on SpiceJet’s official X handle, the airline has published a complete list of new departures, including flight numbers, destinations, and arrival timings. The sudden schedule expansion aims to provide immediate relief to passengers struggling with cancellations, delays, and capacity shortages caused by IndiGo’s operational challenges.
Most of the newly added flights are on high-demand domestic routes, ensuring smoother connectivity between major Indian cities. However, SpiceJet has also stepped up on international sectors by introducing a Mumbai–Dubai service at 10:55 p.m., a Delhi–Dubai connection at 7:20 p.m., and a Delhi–Bangkok flight at 9:05 p.m. These routes are expected to help passengers who have faced severe disruptions on overseas travel.
