Six Dead in Major Sleeper Bus and Trailer Collision in Rajasthan

At least six people were killed and several others injured after a private sleeper bus collided with a trailer in Rajasthan’s Balotra district on Friday, police officials said. The accident occurred near Sarwadi village and triggered a swift rescue response involving local residents and authorities.

Balotra Additional Superintendent of Police Harphool Singh confirmed the fatalities, stating that the collision between the bus and the trailer proved fatal for six passengers. Officials indicated that the number of injured may be higher, though a detailed casualty assessment was still underway at the time of reporting.

According to preliminary information, the impact of the crash was severe, leaving the front portion of the sleeper bus extensively damaged. Visuals from the scene suggested a high-intensity collision, which complicated initial rescue efforts and required coordinated action from emergency responders.

Local residents were among the first to reach the accident site and assist in pulling injured passengers from the wreckage before police and medical teams arrived.
