Police Probe Chaos at Shilpa Shetty-Owned Bengaluru Pub After CCTV Video Surfaces
Police are probing viral CCTV footage showing a late-night argument at a Bengaluru pub co-owned by Shilpa Shetty.
Viral CCTV footage has captured a late-night disturbance at Bastian, an upscale pub on St. Mark's Road co-owned by Bollywood Actress Shilpa Shetty, involving businessman and former Bigg Boss contestant Satya Naidu on December 11 around 1:30 am. The clips, which spread rapidly on social media, show a heated argument among a group of patrons, prompting Bengaluru police to launch an investigation.
According to reports, the incident began as a minor dispute over settling the bill during dinner with friends, escalating into verbal exchanges and alleged heckling. Some Kannada media outlets described it as an assault on staff by Naidu, though the original footage reportedly shows no clear physical violence, only raised voices before pub staff intervened to de-escalate and restore order.
Satya Naidu, a businessman and ex-husband of a television anchor, has denied any misconduct, insisting he visited the venue solely for a meal and that the issue was limited to the payment process without any physical altercation. He maintained that the situation was resolved amicably on site.

Bastian, part of the popular hospitality chain launched in Mumbai and expanded to Bengaluru, has been co-owned by Shilpa Shetty in partnership with restaurateur Ranjit Bindra since 2019. The venue is known for its premium dining and nightlife appeal.
Police from the Central Division have taken suo motu cognisance of the viral videos, summoning those involved for questioning and examining the footage along with witness statements. Officials stated that a formal case would be registered only if evidence of a serious offence emerges.
The incident highlights occasional challenges in managing late-night crowds at high-profile venues, with authorities emphasising quick resolution to maintain public order in Bengaluru's vibrant nightlife scene.
