Police Investigate Dallas Shooting That Killed Two, Injured Three
Shooting in Dallas leaves 2 dead and 3 injured, police investigating.
A shooting incident at a shopping mall in Carrollton, north of Dallas, left two people dead and three others injured on Tuesday, according to local police. Authorities said a man opened fire on five individuals before being arrested after a brief foot chase, bringing the situation under control.
Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo stated that the incident does not appear to be random. He said preliminary findings indicate that the victims were known to the attacker, suggesting a prior relationship between them. “We don’t know exactly what the meeting was about, but we understand it to be a business relation,” Arredondo told reporters.
The shooting took place at K Towne Plaza, located in an area of Carrollton commonly known as Koreatown. Following the incident, law enforcement officers responded in large numbers, with several police units and federal agents, including personnel from the FBI, arriving at the scene to assist in securing the area and conducting the investigation.

It has a significant Korean-American community, with more than 4,000 residents of Korean descent, according to US Census data. The area around the mall has developed into a cultural and commercial hub featuring Korean businesses, restaurants, and supermarkets.
Police have not yet released the identity of the suspect or victims, and investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack. Authorities said further details will be provided as the case develops.
