Ola Electric Narrows Q3 Loss to ₹487 Crore Even As Revenue Falls 55%

Ola Electric reports a narrower net loss of ₹487 crore but a 55% revenue decline in Q3.

Ola Electric Mobility Ltd. reported a narrower net loss for the third quarter of FY26, even as the company faced a steep decline in revenue, according to an exchange filing released on Friday. The electric vehicle maker continues to grapple with demand pressures and operational challenges.

The company posted a net loss of ₹487 crore for the quarter, improving from a loss of ₹564 crore recorded in the same period last fiscal year. The reduced loss suggests some cost control measures or operational efficiencies, though the firm remains in the red.

However, revenue during the quarter fell sharply by 55% year-on-year to ₹470 crore, compared with ₹1,045 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The significant drop highlights weaker sales momentum and ongoing headwinds in the electric two-wheeler market.

At the operating level, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) loss narrowed to ₹271 crore from ₹460 crore a year earlier. The improvement in EBITDA indicates partial progress in managing operating expenses despite the revenue contraction.

The latest quarterly performance underscores a mixed financial picture for Ola Electric, with improving losses but pressure on the top line. Investors and analysts will likely watch upcoming quarters closely for signs of sustained demand recovery and margin improvement.
