Odisha CM meets UAE minister, seeks investment during Dubai visit.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri in Dubai on Thursday as part of his efforts to attract investment to Odisha. Majhi is on a five-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, where he is holding meetings with government representatives, investors and business leaders to promote industrial and economic opportunities in the eastern Indian State.
Officials said the Chief Minister conducted investor outreach programmes and roadshows on the third day of his UAE visit. The engagements were aimed at highlighting Odisha’s investment potential and encouraging companies and investors in the UAE to consider setting up industrial projects in the State. The visit is focused on strengthening economic ties and creating opportunities for investment in Odisha.
During the Dubai engagements, Majhi participated in the Odisha Investors’ Meet – UAE 2026. He also witnessed the exchange of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) during the event, indicating investment interest and proposed collaborations involving Odisha. The State government is using the overseas outreach programme to present its industrial opportunities to the international business community.

Majhi’s meeting with Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual economic interest between Odisha and the UAE. The State government has been seeking to position Odisha as an attractive destination for industrial investment by highlighting its resources, infrastructure and opportunities across different sectors.
The Chief Minister’s UAE tour includes a series of investor meetings, outreach programmes and roadshows intended to attract fresh investments to Odisha. Such engagements are also aimed at connecting the State government with potential investors and business groups outside India and providing them with information about projects and opportunities available in the State.
The Dubai programme forms part of Odisha’s broader efforts to expand its international investor outreach. By engaging with UAE government officials and the business community, the State government is seeking to build investment partnerships and encourage the establishment of industrial projects in Odisha. Majhi is scheduled to continue his five-day UAE visit with further engagements focused on investment and economic cooperation.
