Nissan Tekton Global Debut Today: Key Features, Design Details And Expectations Revealed

Nissan is set to unveil its upcoming midsize SUV, the Nissan Tekton, on Thursday, marking the global debut of the new model as the company expands its presence in the competitive Indian automotive market. The SUV will become the second vehicle introduced under Nissan Motor India's "One Car, One World" strategy and will be produced at the Renault-Nissan Alliance manufacturing facility in Chennai. The Nissan Tekton is expected to strengthen the company's position in the midsize SUV segment, where it will compete against established models such as the Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Kia Seltos.

While Nissan has officially confirmed the name and released design teasers of the SUV, details regarding its specifications, features and powertrain options have not yet been fully disclosed. The upcoming SUV will be positioned above the Nissan Magnite in the company's Indian portfolio and is expected to share its underlying platform and components with the new-generation Renault Duster. The Nissan Tekton features an upright front profile with a sculpted bonnet, a large grille and distinctive C-shaped lighting elements. The front design also includes vertically positioned daytime running lights, giving the SUV a bold road presence. The styling appears to follow current global SUV trends, combining a rugged appearance with modern design elements.

The side profile of the Tekton is expected to feature muscular wheel arches, strong character lines and roof rails, reinforcing its SUV identity.
