Lexus India Extends Warranty to 8 Years, 2,00,000 km For all New Vehicles From April 1

Lexus India extends the warranty to 8 years and 200,000 km for all new vehicles.

Lexus India has introduced an enhanced 8-year warranty programme for all new vehicles sold in the country, strengthening after-sales benefits for luxury car buyers. The revised coverage came into effect from April 1, 2026, and applies across the company’s full model lineup, including sedans, SUVs, and premium people movers.

Under the updated policy, every new Lexus vehicle purchased in India will now receive warranty protection for up to 8 years or 200,000 kilometres, whichever comes earlier, at no additional cost to customers. The move replaces the earlier warranty package of 8 years or 160,000 kilometres, which had been introduced in June 2024. The higher mileage cap is expected to benefit customers who drive longer distances annually or retain their vehicles for extended ownership periods.

The expanded programme covers Lexus India’s current portfolio, including the ES300h sedan, LS500h luxury saloon, NX and RX SUVs, LX off-roader, and the LM luxury MPV. By offering uniform warranty terms across all body styles and price segments, the brand aims to deliver a more consistent ownership experience for customers in India’s premium automobile market.

The warranty period will begin from the date of vehicle delivery and is designed to cover major components under standard manufacturer terms, subject to prescribed maintenance schedules and normal vehicle usage. Lexus clarified that vehicles sold before April 2026 will continue under the previous warranty structure and will not automatically receive the upgraded mileage coverage.

Commenting on the development, Lexus India President Hikaru Ikeuchi said the decision reflects the company’s confidence in its products and its commitment to customer satisfaction. Industry observers note that the move could strengthen Lexus’ competitive position in India’s luxury vehicle segment, where after-sales assurance, reliability, and long-term ownership value are becoming increasingly important factors for buyers.
