#JUSTIN: Israel Military Says It Targeted IRIB Headquarters in Tehran Strike

Israeli forces say they hit and dismantled Iran’s state broadcaster headquarters during intensified airstrikes in Tehran.

The Israeli military announced that it has struck and dismantled the headquarters of Iran’s state radio and television broadcaster, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), in Tehran. The operation forms part of Israel’s ongoing campaign against Iranian military and strategic targets.

In a statement, the Israeli Air Force said, “A short while ago, the Israeli Air Force struck and dismantled the Iranian terrorist regime's communications centre.” The military described the facility as being used and directed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

Israel accused the broadcaster of promoting anti-Israel propaganda and supporting Iran’s nuclear ambitions. “Over the years, the Iranian Broadcasting Authority called for the destruction of the State of Israel and for the use of nuclear weapons,” the military said.

The strike marks one of the most high-profile Israeli operations against Iranian infrastructure in recent weeks, highlighting the escalating tensions between Tehran and Jerusalem. While no immediate reports of casualties have emerged, the attack is likely to further inflame hostilities and complicate diplomatic efforts in the region.

Iran has not yet officially responded to the Israeli military statement, but state media and government officials are expected to issue statements condemning the strike. The incident comes amid a broader campaign involving U.S. and Israeli operations targeting Iranian military and strategic sites across the Middle East.

Analysts say the attack on IRIB represents both a symbolic and tactical strike, aiming to disrupt Iran’s communications and propaganda apparatus while signaling Israel’s willingness to act decisively against perceived threats to its national security.
