JEE Advanced 2026 Tomorrow: Check Prohibited Items List Now

The JEE Advanced 2026 exam tomorrow includes strict guidelines, reporting times, and a prohibited items list.

The Indian Institute of Technology is set to conduct the JEE Advanced 2026 on Sunday, May 17, with candidates across the country preparing to appear for one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance examinations. The examination will be held in two shifts, with Paper 1 scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Authorities have issued detailed exam-day guidelines, including reporting instructions, mandatory documents, dress code norms, and a list of prohibited items that students must strictly follow to avoid disqualification or inconvenience at examination centers.

According to the official instructions, candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card along with a valid original photo identity proof for verification purposes. Accepted ID proofs include an Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or a valid School or College ID card. Entry into the examination hall will only be permitted after verification by invigilators and representatives from the conducting institute. Candidates have also been advised to report to their centers well in advance, as examination centers will open from 7:00 AM IST on Sunday morning.

The examination authorities have stated that no candidate will be allowed to enter the hall after 9:00 AM for Paper 1 and after 2:30 PM for Paper 2 under any circumstances. Students must remain seated inside the examination hall until the completion of each paper. Officials have also clarified that appearing for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 is compulsory for evaluation and ranking in the examination process. Candidates have been advised to carry drinking water only in transparent bottles and cooperate during security checks, which are expected to include extensive frisking procedures at all centers.

A detailed list of prohibited items has also been issued to maintain fairness and security during the examination. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, pen drives, scanners, earphones, and electronic pens will not be allowed inside the examination hall. Candidates are also barred from carrying wallets, handbags, writing pads, geometry boxes, pouches, cameras, goggles, or any printed or handwritten material. Authorities warned that possession of any communication device, including concealed microchips or Bluetooth gadgets, could lead to strict disciplinary action and cancellation of candidacy.

Candidates have also been instructed to follow a simple dress code aimed at facilitating faster security checks. Jewelry and accessories, including rings, bracelets, chains, earrings, nose pins, pendants, badges, and brooches, have been discouraged. Students have additionally been advised not to wear clothes with large buttons or metal-containing accessories. Open footwear such as sandals or chappals has been recommended instead of shoes to reduce delays during frisking and entry procedures at examination venues.

JEE Advanced 2026 is the qualifying examination for admission into undergraduate engineering programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology across the country. The examination is conducted annually for candidates who qualify for the JEE Main examination and meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. With lakhs of aspirants expected to appear this year, authorities have urged candidates to carefully follow all instructions, verify their documents in advance, and plan their travel to examination centers early to ensure a smooth and stress-free examination experience.
